What a fantastic day we all had yesterday! The sun was shining and we had an absolutely fantastic turnout. we have had very positive feedback from the day and we cannot wait to begin planning for next year! Thank you to everyone who took the time to visit Amberswood and enjoy the event, also many thanks to those who had stalls: Lucky Hens Rescue, HawksRus, Elite Fun Days, Active Living, Wildlife Hospital, Scouts, Redrose Forest, Friends of Haigh Country Park, Orienteering, Greater Manchester Record Centre, MugPrint UK, Groundworks and many many more! During the fun day, the new Queen Elizabeth II plaque was revealed by the entrance of Crompton Street. This symbolizes Amberswood’s wildflower meadow which now has a protected status. Also during the day, two presentations took place. A huge thanks to Wigan Harriers for donating £150 to Friends of Amberswood. And a massive thanks to Mike, Martin, Adam and Jim for raising a whopping £623.30 for the group! Keep checking the Events Page for upcoming events! 🙂
