Past Events: 2012 Highlights
There were several days of chainsaw carving on the park so if you’re out and about then just go and see our new Sculptures near the big lake – Many thanks to Chris Barber.
Olympic Fun Day: The fun day went well on the 2nd June. Activities included archery, kayaking and a climbing wall (all free). Other activities include bushcrafts, face painting, craft stall, RSPB on site, string trail, orienteering course and refreshments. The weather was kind to us and gave us a small window of opportunity with the rain holding off just long enough. The attendance over the event was fantastic and we got some great feedback which makes it all worthwhile. A big thank you goes out to all who helped out on the day and a special mention to Janet at the Hockery Brook who donated funds that enabled us to buy the main gazebo that was used. We had some good suggestions of things to do in future so with a bit of luck and time some of these things will happen.
The completion of our new outdoor woodland classroom.
Work on the path improvements continue with a new one being done at the moment to create a new public pathway whilst extending wildlife corridors.
